Ministry of Food & Dining Matters 2007/2008:

The ministry generally deals with matters related to dining matters including the food that is eaten at the dining place at KCMC and the general cleanliness of the dining hall.

The dining hall serves early morning tea, lunch and evening dinner. Meals are served everyday and include Ugali, Rice, Beans, Meat curry, Chicken curry and fruits and vegetables occasionally.

FUNCTIONS OF MINISTRY OF FOOD AND DINING MATTERS:

•  Reporting to the cabinet on the dining matters.

•  Participating in cabinet meetings.

•  Ensuring that food served is sufficient for the students.

•  To make sure that food is served on time.

•  To check the general cleanliness of he Dining Hall.

•  Making sure that only the students are taking food from the     Dining Hall.

  THE DINING HALL

ACTIVITIES PLANNED:

* To ensure that the current timetable of food supply is followed.

* Ensure that the food provided is in the required standard.

* Propose that students should be served Ugali of polished maized flour (sembe).

* Ensure discipline and cleanliness by people who use the dining hall.

* Propose valander to be made above the sinks to help during hot and wet weather.

TIMETABLE:
Breakfast: 6:30AM - 7:30AM
Lunch: 12:30AM - 2:00PM
Dinner: 6:30AM - 7:30AM

REMINDER'S FOR THE DINING HALL
DO NOT:
* Wear Khanga, Slippers and clinical coats.
* Interfere with the queue.
* Leave the plates and dining place dirty.
* Use abusive language to your colleague or staff.
* Destroy any material offered at the dining hall.
* Remove any announcements.
