KCMC stands for Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre and it was founded on 6th March 1971.

The Centre has the Directorate of Allied Health Science, which is under the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare where about 450 students study from various countries within Africa, America, Asia and Europe.
